Girls' & Boys' Day

School Today – 3P Tomorrow

Girls’ and Boys’ Day at 3P inspires young people to explore technology.

Building your first inspection tool at age 13? What’s everyday life at 3P Services became a reality for 15 students at this year’s Girls’ and Boys’ Day. On April 23, 2026, the company once again opened its doors and invited young people not only to learn about technology but to experience it firsthand. They gained exciting insights into the diverse working world of 3P Services, from the initial idea to the finished product.

In the mechanical design department, the young visitors gained insight into the entire development process. They independently designed a personalized housing, which was then manufactured using modern 3D printing technology. The IT application development team also presented its work methods and didn’t stop at theory: the students gained their first hands-on programming experience and got actively involved. Further practical insights followed in the fields of electronics and sensor technology. There, the participants worked with so-called Microbits and gained a vivid understanding of this technical field.

Finally, in the manufacturing area, several components were brought together: individual parts were assembled into a key chain shaped like a newt. The previously programmed circuit board was installed into the housing they had designed and 3D-printed themselves. This allowed the students to fully trace the journey from idea to finished product for the first time.

The day was rounded off with a varied 3P rally, which not only provided additional fun but also strengthened team spirit. During a joint lunch break with pizza and drinks, there was also an opportunity for personal interaction with trainers and employees, who shared stories about their own professional careers at 3P.

Girls’ and Boys’ Day gave the students a realistic yet motivating picture of the training and career opportunities at 3P Services. In addition to gaining technical insights, they experienced a strong sense of team spirit - sharing knowledge, standing up for one another, and working together on solutions. It was particularly gratifying that many of the participants came from the families of employees. This underscores the close connection to the company and the enthusiasm for their own work, which is deliberately passed on to the next generation.

Feedback on the event was consistently positive - from both the students and the accompanying employees. For 3P Services, Girls’ and Boys’ Day is therefore an integral part of its talent development efforts: an opportunity to spark interest, highlight potential, and provide early guidance. The event will take place again next year - with new ideas and the same goal of supporting young people on their path into the professional world.

Some participants have already expressed interest in an internship or apprenticeship, which is exactly what 3P aims to achieve with Girls’ and Boys’ Day. There are still openings for the 2026 apprenticeship intake, and applications for 2027 are already being accepted.
