At 3P, students from the Lohne School Center demonstrated their skills in an exciting final challenge.
Once again, 3P Services welcomed students together with their teacher from the Lohne School Center to the grand finale challenge of the LEGO Mindstorms project - marking the next round in this successful collaboration.
Together, we are energetically launching the LEGO Mindstorms project, which shows young people how cool the world of STEM subjects can really be. Here, they program, tinker, and experiment – and along the way, participants discover the exciting technical careers available at 3P Services. This way, participants not only learn new skills, but also get a real impression of why 3P Services is a great place for training.
Lego Mindstorms Robot right before the start
For months, students at the Lohne School Center worked on this special LEGO Mindstorms project: a robot they developed and programmed themselves that can detect defects on a metal plate. Throughout the project phase, the students were supervised and supported by our employees. This enabled them to acquire valuable specialist knowledge. For many, this was a big step towards career orientation: real programming work, modern technologies, and the direct experience of how fascinating technical solutions can be.
A particular highlight that made us very proud was the big robot challenge at the end of the project, which took place on site at 3P Services. The rules are well known: each robot competes once – and after the start, everything runs completely autonomously, with no possibility of intervention. The teams eagerly followed every movement of their robots as the devices systematically scanned a hidden metal plate for defects – with every second and every centimeter counting.
In the end, a team with a particularly precise and cleverly programmed robot came out on top. The winners were honored at an award ceremony – a moment that not only fills us with pride but also shows how much potential young talent has.
