3P ILI Level I and II Training
3P ILI Level I and II Training

Today at 3P in Lohne – tomorrow around the world

Last week, 3P welcomed international visitors from Brunei and Indonesia to the ILI Level I training at its Lohne facility. This week, the international training program continues: 3P welcomed additional participants from Colombia and Indonesia to the ILI Level II training. The participants, including both specialists hired through 3P and experienced employees from partner companies, took part in a challenging and practical training program.

The ILI Level I training focused on the practical execution of inline inspections. Participants gained comprehensive insights into conducting operations, handling pigs and inspection systems, as well as on-site safety and process control. In addition, special emphasis was placed on the collection and quality assurance of measurement data - a crucial foundation for reliable inspection results. Building on the content from Level I, the ILI Level II training delves deeper into the analysis and interpretation of data. Participants learn to conduct an initial technical evaluation of measurement data directly on-site, assess damage and anomalies, and prepare decisions relevant to pipeline integrity.

In doing so, 3P once again underscores its commitment to upholding international standards and making targeted investments in the qualification and professional development of skilled personnel. Well-trained specialists are crucial for the safe operation of pipelines. The early detection of damage helps prevent hazards and maintain the long-term integrity of the infrastructure.

ANSI/ASNT ILI PQ is an internationally recognized standard for the qualification of personnel for in-line inspections. It ensures that the planning, execution, and evaluation of pipeline inspections are carried out by trained personnel, thereby making a decisive contribution to safety, sustainability, and technical reliability worldwide.

In addition to professional development, 3P places great emphasis on personal interaction, team spirit, and mutual respect. The after-work activities also demonstrated that at 3P, humanity doesn’t end at the office door: In a relaxed atmosphere, the focus was on interaction, complemented by insights into German culture and a group trip to Enschede.
