3P welcomes new trainees at the induction day
Starting out successfully together: insights and communication ease the transition into working life
3P Services welcomed numerous new apprentices to its Wietmarschen-Lohne site as part of an induction day. Together with their parents, the new apprentices were given a comprehensive insight into the company, their future workplaces and their career prospects. The aim of the event was to ease the transition into working life and provide guidance at an early stage.
In addition to the company presentation, the focus was particularly on getting to know one another personally. The apprentices had the opportunity to chat amongst themselves and make initial contacts. The main aim was to build trust and lay a positive foundation for the upcoming apprenticeship period.
To kick things off, 3P introduced itself in a small, informal gathering. The new apprentices and their parents got to know the trainers and were given an overview of the company’s structure and the various areas of work. A subsequent tour of the premises provided a vivid impression of what their future working day would be like.
Particular emphasis was placed on interaction between new and existing apprentices. The latter act as direct points of contact on an equal footing, offering genuine insights into their own experiences and helping their new colleagues settle in.
Following the official part of the programme, the induction day moved on to a joint leisure programme. Over a game of bowling and at M2MAXX, prospective and current apprentices were able to get to know one another better in a relaxed atmosphere. Over food and drinks, initial discussions took place about expectations and the tasks ahead during the upcoming apprenticeship.
"Talking to experienced apprentices helps enormously because they know exactly how you feel when you're starting out," says Matthis, who successfully completed his apprenticeship this year and still remembers his own start at 3P well.
With its induction day, 3P is making a targeted commitment to a structured onboarding process and strengthening engagement and commitment from day one. Guidance plays a crucial role, particularly for young people embarking on their first job. Through early networking and open communication, the company creates a solid foundation for a successful apprenticeship.
The induction day highlights the importance of an appreciative corporate culture and demonstrates how vital personal interaction is for a successful start to working life. At the same time, 3P reinforces its role as a training provider committed to the region and makes targeted investments in the skilled workers of tomorrow.
