3P Services supports young robotics talent
Feb 11, 2026
The 3rd Joint Robot Competition (GROW) on February 7, 2026, at the parish center in Lohne was all about creativity, team spirit, and technical curiosity. Around 30 participants from grades 3 to 10 from the region took part in the all-day event, which was organized by the Null e.V. association from Lingen. 3P Services sponsored the event for the first time this year, actively supporting the promotion of young people in the technical field.
Null e.V. has been volunteering for many years to introduce students to STEM topics in a playful way. The aim is to give them early access to technical contexts and to inspire them to take an interest in scientific topics.
At GROW, participants work with LEGO Spike sets, solve tasks from the real technical world, and learn how robotics, programming, and teamwork are connected. What makes this event special is that the participants have little or no experience in the world of robotics. The teams were put together by drawing lots, and then it was time to start building and programming. During the event, the teams not only developed creative solutions, but also gained an understanding of technology and programming. This was followed by a challenge and, of course, an award ceremony. Even though individual winners were honored at the end, the focus was on the team spirit and the fun of learning.
The winners were all those who courageously embraced something new and, above all, those who were perhaps able to discover a professional future in technology for the first time.
3P Services was happy to see how quickly the participants immersed themselves in the complex world of robotics. After just a short time, they used their creativity to solve numerous challenges – impressive proof of the potential that young people with an interest in technology have.
We were particularly pleased that some of our own employees' children also took part in GROW – they were full of enthusiasm and reported excitedly on their experiences.
As a company that itself relies on technical expertise and innovative strength, 3P Services sees it as a great opportunity to get young people excited about technology at an early age. By supporting the GROW competition, we were able to make a lasting contribution to promoting interest, discovering skills, and opening up future career paths.
